Microsoft's newest monstrosity

Post by bttws » Thu Mar 06, 2003 12:11 am

Its called "Longhorn" (I have no idea why its called that)
it makes for good jokes.... slow and dumb as a cow.
its like they are asking to be made fun of

aside from the stupid name, they are introducing a new file system, that is "easier and faster" which translates into "slower and cumbersome"
looks like just XP with more eye candy (I didn't think they would ever out do XP eye candy level, but I guess I'm wrong)

Mmm, that does look interesting. Expensive too, but. Hey did you hear that AMD and Intel have joined forces to work on a new chip after AMD gets out its latest pride and joy?

It was in an Australian PC magazine.
Can't remember the name, but it has
a purple cover, and it had a special feature
on CD burning. It was either Australian PC
Magazine (called APC for short) or PC Authority.
I think.

Here is something interesting:
2 years ago, Intel PROMISED that the Pentium 5 was going to run off of biotechnology. With how long they normally wait between each release, I guess we will see very soon if they can.
They fucked themselves in the bleeding anus.

Just now on NBC, they TOLD about your little computer there! It's whole purpose in life is to help you make your own videos, store music, and do any sort of random media shit. It has a built in DVD burner, 2 DVD-CD drives, takes 5 different types of memory storage devices (not including DVD, CD, or floppy disk). has 2 different types of aux. ports, and comes with T.V. built into it, where you can view television off the internet. They said that the only problems they had with it was that the processor is too slow for what it is supposed to do.
