Website improvement suggestions

Post by Lone Wolf » Mon Mar 03, 2003 10:46 pm

With all of this talk of how the website is running, I have thought of some things that MIGHT make it run faster or whetever...

1. Delete the inactive members
-There is a whopping total of 52294 members for this website. I would say that less than 200 are active. Will deletion of all the inactive members help the site any?

2. Delete old forum pages
-Some forum areas have over 10 pages of threads. Will deletion of REALLY old topics help the site any?

1. well you can't really tell which ones are really inactive. a person could just not be involved at all, but the day he actually uses his account, and he finds it not there, i'll bet s/he would be upset.

2. some forums are actually worth keeping for posterity and memories as well as for good information (given that people actually look for it).

so yah good for you that you're trying to help out. dont get me wrong, im not here to argue with you or anything.

i myself had a few things like this. heh, some of them even got granted (yknow the audio forum? 'twas me)

if anything they should really delete those extra video entries. some have been horridly out of date and unavailable for almost years.
