Where are you hanging out? I've had some discussions that I would consider civil and insightful over rather touchy issues -- abortion, women's rights in Iraq vs. women's rights in the U.S. (you'd be surprised how far that can go), efficiency of the first real act of the Department of Homeland Security and the merits thereof, and so on.

I've actually never seen stuff like "OMFG! BUSH IS A MURDRER!"...

...Well, OK, I have, but it was phrased differently, and it actually had some points and evidence to offer.

Normally I'm the first person to say that teenagers are more than capable of making important life decisions and just aren't given enough credit... But I really believe that you are too young to know for sure. I would hope that for your sake you would get a couple years of therapy and before taking any further actions.
