Where's Anime Jedi when you need him for a perfectly wise quote about perfection and why it's demoralizing.

Seek excellence instead...something like that.

LOL! And here I was, when I saw this thread, going to mention it anyways. Hope this is the one you meant...

Striving for excellence motivates you; striving for perfection is demoralizing.

The perfect AMV creator is the one who writes the music and makes the anime themselves.
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

Now that's just now true....

I go to tons of cocnerts and know several bands, a lot of which even tho I now know personaly met just at their show as they walked around. So i can accomplish #2, but will probably never do #1.

Tho if you look at how I know some artists, you'd think with all the cons people go to and with all the special guests, surley permission can be obtained the same way. These creators do talk to others when they're at cons.

It's not that hard to make anime once you get the technigues down. It might take you around a week at max you learn the basics, but it's more like 4-6 hours of practice with a regular 25 page "how to draw anime."

AFter learning how to draw them, you just have to have plenty of erasers and paper. If you have an electronic draw pad, it'll be even easier, but those things cost a bit.

As for music, it's not all that difficult to write and make your own either. In fact, if you do make your own, you'll be specializing a song to an anime. YOu are director of all.

if I somehow was able to do a pic in 15 mins.
15x24x60x5=to much freaking time.

Get arrested for some a life sentence crime.

That way, you'll have no troubles wtih life and instead just spend your time trying not to be bored...and you'll have more time.

Make sure to get parole though, it's no good to be stuck in jail all your life.

Actually CaT, you should only have to worry about 15x12x60x5... most animation is actually run around 12fps and not the full 24, from what I've seen in work doing frame-by-frame masking...

Though admittedly, that's only probably only for one character and not counting backgrounds :P

There are also plenty of shortcuts to employ, if you have an eye for these things, you know what I'm talking about. TV series are sometimes notorious for these.

For the the record; the perfect AMV creator is an oxymoron. ("perfect"'s definition varies from person to person)
