One for the otaku.
Since this board is filled completly with Otaku, I thaught I'd fire out this question. The Otaku range widly, from varoius forms of acceptance, though at the same time, can have the stupidest opinions.
I'm a male-to-female transexual. Meaning, I'm in the process of 'switching teams' so to speak. ^^;; (The first person to bring up 'Dick girl hentai' gets castrated. >:|) Not exactly something unheard of in Anime, though in Anime it tends just to be a bishounen often mistaken as female, where as I get to take hormones, and watch my body redevelope like a 12yo girl's at puberty. *snicker* The question is, what do most of you think of that? :p

this is what you would call a "way off topic" thread.
and if what you say is true then I really done care.
your life, your buisiness.

So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

it may be a question for people that watch anime, but the question is not 'about' anime, besides everyone that goes to the anime forums go to the way off topic forums as well.

It's off topic because it does not directly involve anime, music, or video editting in the discussion itself. Meh. No big.
As for my opinion, well, I'd sum it up thusly: 'Tis yuir life, laddie, na' mine.
It doesn't bother me that you are becoming a transexual. I have no problem with it myself. Although, if you don't mind my asking, may I ask why you chose to undergo this process? Sheer curiousity on my part, don't answer if you don't feel comfortable doing so.
Good luck with it. Sounds rather inconvenient, but that's me.

All transexuals have the condition refered to as 'Gender Dysphoria', which essentially means, I have the genuine mentality and thaught patterns of the opposit gender. So it's not a matter of wakeing up and saying "Mmm... ya know what, I wannabe a chick now.
"
It's the fact that you go threw every day, and everyone thinks your one gender, when your mind is another. It's a matter of making mind and body match. Dispite the enhrient risks, and the time involved. The process is about 2 years minimum, with a $14 000 surgery at the end. (Sayonara Mr. Happy. XD). My risks for breast cancer and varoius other cancers will be about 20-40 % higher then the average female, and I'll lose some 10 years off my life span. I'm only 19 though, so there's time to kill... literally. o_O
And the hormone pills will give me all the curves and what not. XD Prospectivly, I'll be -living- and accepted as a normal functing heterosexual female in late 2003.

BTW, are you going to be one of those guys that gets the change and then start dating other chicks? or you going to actually date guys?
And the second part of my question, exactly how do you expect to find someone comfortable with you being a transexual?

I'll quote myself for that one:
"normal functing heterosexual female"
As in Male X Female relations.
As for finding a partner? It's a matter if seeing who dosn't scream and run after you tell them. ^_^ Since you live your life as female, no one in the general public is supposed to know. Hence the point of trying to live a normal life.
As for relations though, I do have this small issue. Though guys can be cute, they're pretty stupid to. ^^;;; So, I'll probabbly go with plan B; Live alone in a house fill of cats.
They'll be my army of the night. Nywa ha ha ha... - Nyo!
