Cowboy Bebop Episodes and Music
It seems that the name of just about every episode of Cowboy Bebop is related to music in some way. Either it's a got a type of music (ie Blues, Jazz, Funk etc.) or the name of a song (ie My Funny Valentine and Sympathy For The Devil). However there are a few episodes I'm having trouble figuring out. Mushroom Samba, Speak Like A Child, Pierrot Le Fou, and Brain Scratch I just don't get. Does anyone know if these refer to music of some kind, or songs? It just seems wrong that the creators would name so many episodes after musical things, then leave a few that weren't.

they are applicable to the episodes
Pierrot le Fou meansLittle Peter or Clown the insane or the insane clown
Speak LIke a Child is refective of the conclusion to the episode
Mushroom Samba becasue there's mushrooms and Ed's walk could be construed as a samba
Brain Scratch well because it's philisophical and stuff
I never questioned it before, the titles make more sense than most anime.

Well here's some random facts that may or may not be what those episodes are references to...
Samba is a Brazilian music and dance style.
Speak Like a Child is the name of a Style Council song (Style Council is the acid jazz band Paul Weller formed after he broke up the Jam in the early 80s).
Pierrot Le Fou is an old French movie classic which featured a slow cool jazz musical score.
And Scratch is oftentimes used to refer to the sounds made when people scratch turntable records.

This has already been discussed, but I will post the same thing I did last time.
Go here: http://rfblues.aaanime.net/Omake/Influences/
It lists all of the series episodes and the movie including what influenced their making. Buttons are located at the top of the page to direct you through the whole thing. It is split into three seperate pages.
I absolutely love this website. It has everything you need for Cowboy Bebop.
