hand fight

I need a recomendation of an anime that is very violent and filled with action, but I want something non-mecha (ie something with hand-to-hand violence) and lots of it. Does anyone have any suggestions (preferably of anime that aren't well known)

Grappler Baki. Didn't care much for the story or much of anything, but it did have some good violent squences.

The movie is about a guy who fights in a tournament, then fights in an underground tournament. They don't do much story it's pretty much all fight, but then again I saw the Un-edited dub so the Subtitled version is probably better.

What about Red Hawk (or possibly Band of the Red Hawk)? It's a movie that I saw in the anime section of Best Buy for about $19.99. It sounds right up the alley you're searching for.

I agree with Richlather definately Berserk or Violence Jack probably more Berserk because Violence Jack is a bit crap with little point.

If you want lots of squishing Devilman is good for that, plenty of guts and gore.

i dont really recall berserk having much hand to hand ... their were heavy use of swords, maces bows etc. not much hand to hand.
