International Protests today 15/2
So are any of you going?
I just came back from mine. We were only about 3000 but Umeå is not that big. Oh well, I hope the protests will make Bush rethink.

Jeebus, you people actually think he cares what a bunch of peons have to say about war? We're gonna bomb the hell out of Iraq, even more so than we did 10 years ago! We're gonna fly a missle in Sadam's front door, out the back door, then jam it down his chimney and up his ass. Meanwhile we'll be eradicating korea with bombs of mass-distruction. It's about time that war ended. Who wants a bunch of edgy bastards (besdides the US) to have the bomb.SSJVegita0609 wrote:That war monger in the white house better pay attention to these.

Your logic is flawed. If we use bombs to get rid of bombs it'll only lead to more bombs. Why? Because bombs are built out of people's hatred. And if someone starts a war, they are hated by others. On top of that public opinion is EXTREMELY important to politicians nowadays, because its what they need in order to get elected you see. And if a certain potential candidate for a second term see's that he's making a descision that will cause a loss of public favor, then that person may start to reconsider.Mr Pilkington wrote:Jeebus, you people actually think he cares what a bunch of peons have to say about war? I never argued that point. If we bomb them of course more bombs will be made! Made by us! to replace the ones used to wipe out those infidelious bastards. Sure some other fool will no doubt try to toss thier weight around, that will always happen. There is no such thing a peace. Human nature is to destory, and destroy we shal!SSJVegita0609 wrote:Your logic is flawed. If we use bombs to get rid of bombs it'll only lead to more bombs. Why? That's total bull. Popular vote means squat. It's electoral vote that makes real decisions. And that's the same world wide. The people can vote all they want, but if the elector feels like being a bastard he can vote however he wishes. You children really havn't figured the world out yet have you?SSJVegita0609 wrote:On top of that public opinion is EXTREMELY important to politicians nowadays, because its what they need in order to get elected you see. You don't have a very positive outlook do you. Thank god the whole world doesn't share your opinions on this subject, or the human race would be gone within 20 years.Mr Pilkington wrote:I never argued that point. Hmmmm, someone has a nice little conspiracy theory here, and I'll admit it certainly is possible. However, it is what it is, a theory. You have no proof, and you can't make that statement based on what you would do in that situation alone. Therefore, I disregard your post.Mr Pilkington wrote:That's total bull. You really are a fucking idiot arn't you? Either that just an ignorant child. You live in the US, you should know. If not heres' a harsh lesson in reality for you. All states have zones, each voting zone has an elector. When you go and vote, depenind on the popular vote of that zone the elector is to make an "Electoral Vote." Now there is no law stating that Electors HAVE to vote exactly as the populas voted. They can turn the tide by voting with the minority. And it does happen more often that people even realize. For instance, Bush won only by Electoral vote, Gore (that sorry fool) actually managed to get the popular vote. But in our society, as well as any democratic society across the globe, that is the cold hard truth. I fail to see the "conspiracy theory." I mean good lord, havn't you takenn govenrmen class? Or did they just fail to tell you anything at all?
