Not disney, dreamworks I believe.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

I just don't care for Shrek.
Shrek's from Dreamworks too.

Yes, but I could have sworn that Disney had a hand in both or at least one of them. Hm.

I haven't seen Ice Age yet, but the cast looks good... hmm... I was skeptical, but I really dug Monsters Inc (once again, Goodman is the man, he seems to be taking a large amount of VA roles recently.... he's in The Jungle Book II with Haley Joel Osment right now, isn't he?)

I dunno about Jungle Book 2, but Ice Age surprised me. I watched it with my sister and little cousin, I thought it would be kinda dumb. But, it turned out to be surprisingly good. I loved the dodo cult, and some of the character development was very nice, not to mention the gorgeous CGI (but that's a given).

Monsters Inc. also surprised me. I loved the ending scene, even though it was a tad contrived. ::sniff::

Me, I've always loved Hunchback of Notre Dame. The song and dance sequences are annoying, but aside from those, it's surprisingly dark and intense. If they could re-make the movie and cut out the song and ance routines, and the comedy-relief gargoyles, I'd buy it. All 45 minutes of it.

I don't believe Disney helped with Shrek, not with all the digs at Michael Eisner and Disney in general ("You think he's compensating for something..."). Dreamworks is a different company, and I love the work they do.

Although, I did like Lilo and Stitch, not for the story writing (predictable as all hell), but because Lilo is such an interesting character, very different from what Disney usually does. Watch the movie some time, Lilo's a pretty dark little kid.
