When you edit together an entire scene that you know you're not going to use just because you want to see how it looks. You get extra addiction points if it took you several hours.

When you edit video for a living, in a high-pressure newsroom environment to boot.

Also, when your newsroom prepares to switch to a Grass Valley nonlinear editing system for all use (not just special projects), shunting Betacam SP editing to the background, and you expect to have an easier transition than most because you noodle with Adobe Premiere at home for fun.

You know your an editing addict when you some how got Premiere to pop up every time you turn on your computer (That is if you ver bothered to turn it off cause your editing too much)

(Off the subject but its funny)
You know you buy too many anime DVDs when your watching a rerun on TV(If you even watch TV anymore) and you have the sudden urge to hit the Next Button on the DVD remote
