"Betterman" - First Impressions
Since TECHTV will be airing this series this monday (Feb. 9), I was wondering if it's good or not...
So those who have seen it can you please give your impressions??
NO SPOILERS though please

Well from the trailer, it looks to be a creepy mecha-related horror-ish series. Also seems to have a mysterious super-powerful mutant/psychic person called Betterman. (Like in SoulTaker, Genocyber, Guyver, Generator Gawl, etc.) The character designs are certainly different. Appears that among the main characters there is a nerdy-looking boy who gets to pilot a squat mecha, and a depressed looking girl with red and green spiky hair that resembles Betterman.
I generally enjoy Sunrise's series, people have told me it's not a good series because it's so confusing. But there was a lot of complaint like that about Gasaraki, and I thoroughly enjoyed Gasaraki.
I'm planning on checking it out when the prices for it drop a bit more, or maybe just wait for the box set. TechTV could be a good way to preview it first though, thanks for the heads up.

I've only seen the first volume, but it looks pretty good so far. My main problem with it is the main character, who's rather comical and obnoxious. He doesn't fit well into the story since everything else is serious and at times dark.
Still, I enjoyed what I saw and will probably get the other volumes later.
