AMV Karaoke.
In some ep's there is the ending song subtitled like an karaoke. So i was wandering what program is used to do those subtitles? I have been thinking making some karaoke AMV's but haven't found any info on the subtitle tools.

This should really go in Video Help or Video Software, but...
To time the text, you want to use SubStation Alpha. This is a fansubbing program that's been around for years and it's some of the best stuff out there. To do Karaoke, time by wav file (your wav must be 22.05/8/mono), and use the yellow line (left mouse button) to set the start time, the red line (right mouse button) to set the end time. That'll get your text onscreen. To do it as karaoke.....
is a real pain in the ass. I've done it once and swore that I would never do it again unless it was something that was damned important. The SSA documentation on how to do karaoke is slightly vague, but between what it says and playing around you should get it. One last note, I recall that you have to download the help files seperately, so make sure you do that. Make sure to use a nice sized font (I use one that's around 32pt.) or else it won't be big enough. It's going to look really big in SSA, But VirtualDub will scale it so that it's proportional.
Once your script is done, save it and dump it into VirtualDub. Use the subtitler plugin (the one from Avery Lee, not one of the other ones) and, after doing a preview and enabling anti-aliasing, let it run.
Lastly, if that doesn't seem like the answer you wanted, you can always do it with a large number of Premiere/Photoshop titles. Just change the color of each syllable and overlay it as an alpha channel every time they sing. This is probably more work than doing it with Vdub/SSA.
Good luck!
