Is this the first wrong post message of the new board(doubtful).
I believe you must hook the gamecube to a capture card.
There is no ripping app, nor do I think that the gamecube cds are even compatible with a DVD or CD drive.
and it's C-O-M-P-U-T-E-R not cpu, cpu is part of the C-O-M-P-U-T-E-R. Technically you're capturing to your hard drive....

Since playstation games all used standard ISO9660 cd-roms just like any PC and usually had the same movie format in every game a few different apps have been written for extracting video. The same is true for PS2 games on DVD.
But with Gamecube I'm not really sure. It's a 1.5gb minidisc that will fit into a dvd-drive just like a minicd but it's not a standard cd or dvd format as far as I can tell. When I tried Luigi's Mansion it wouldn't mount for me in either Windows XP or Linux (although it might just be some type of copy protection or maybe i was just doing it wrong). Anyway even if you could load the disc onto your computer the system hasn't been out long enough for anyone to have written any apps for it. You'll either have to wait for about a year or capture it like most ppl do. Or if the game you're trying to get video from has a PS2/PS1 version you could try ripping it from that instead:

btw I have played a few games that use FMVs like Resident Evil, rouge squadron 2, and bloody roar which opened with some high res anime.
