Too many Linkin Park videos
I have heard many comments from so many saying that they would not recommend any more Linkin Park videos or anything like that. Now I'm not here to bash Linkin Park. In fact I am a big LP fan. I'm only asking you all one question:
Why do so many people choose Linkin Park songs for their videos?

that's sorta like asking why DBZ is so popular....
no one really knows why...it just is.
it wouldn't be as bad if all those linkin park vids were to all different kinds of anime, but they're pretty much ALL to DB-something.
ionno. just try to deal. most of us here more or less HAVE to.

In total agreement Mr. Pilkington. And I love the avatar! Though I know not where it's from
In fact, I despise 90% of what's on the radio. I prefer music with actual emotion or meaning or ::gasp:: even actual singing! And 90% of today's radio hasn't produced any of that. In fact, it hasn't BEEN producing it for at least the last ten years.
The first time I heard LP in my friend's car, I asked him who the guys who sounded like they'd shoved the mikes down their throats and belched week-old beer were. He told me it was LP, and that he wanted me to listen to it and hear the sad state of popular music today because he knows I've been out of the American music loop for the last decade. I swear, I like stuff that's either not from this country or over ten years old.
The most satisfying aspect of having WEIRD musical taste is the reactions of radio zombies. Nothing beats my dad and I cruising down the expressway blasting Lord of the Dance with the windows wide open and getting "WTF?!" looks from the bassers next to us. Or better yet, that same guy friend and I on our way to MegaCon a few years ago (in full costume as Sephiroth and Aeris no less) speeding down I-4 blaring orchestrated One Winged Angel (and singing along!). You wouldn't BELIEVE the looks we got!

I KNEW the art style looked familiar! The critic's hysterical, I catch it when I actually stay up that late. My favorite was the debutante ball episode ^_^

I like LP, not afraid to admit it. But you know the reason its used in so many vids really is because its so damn mainstream. And the reason most of those vids are so poor is because they are made by extremely casual/lazy creators. People who hear songs on the radio and just figure they might as well make a vid, then spend an hour or two using d/led clips and figure they're set.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.
