Seriously guns are for wussys. Sure I own a handgun! But driving a classic Porsche I would be fool not to. It doesn't mean I think it's right, it just means I'm smart enough to realize the difference between death-wish and self-protection. Personally gimme a Louisville Slugger and Wakzashi and I'll tear some ass up. But when being jacked at gunpoint it's much easier to let out a few dozen rounds than it is to club their ass. Not to mention smarter.

tell me about it, I live and work with all the IRA guys but at least your average dickhead can't go out and buy one, that would be madness. My dad lives in asia and buys granades for $10, that's $1 a kill.Feh. It still happens anyway, despite people supposedly being unable to buy guns in the UK. Hell, your gun crime seems to be worse than ours.
Personally I think it's disgusting and JACE that was a bit of over kill, I mean you beat the shit out of the guy and he deserved it but he was running away and you were left unscathed there was no need to shoot him 3 times.
I like knives myself, I've even got a few semi small ones but I wouldn't carry them with me, anything over 3" is illegal and too bulky for my tight jeans and there's enough glass lying about anyway to use as a weapon.
My uncle made this huge foot long knife out of this old farming thing, it had a blood groove and holes and everything but he sawed it up and threw it away a few years ago. It was so cool though, it could have been like a family inhertance thing.
Aye your ma's Keyzer Soze!

Lets just put it this way...the swiss need those kinds of measures to protect and ensure their "neutrality" in any and all wars...its kinda like having a standing army of every able bodied male citizen in your country...without the upkeep....a smart move, really, given the size of their population and country as well as the fact that most people who live there are Swiss by birth and citizens by birth and not naturalization. Also, when pretty much every guy there owns what amounts to a large semi-automantic rifle, you pretty much DONT WANT TO PISS ANYBODY OFF...kthulhu wrote:Look at Switzerland, probably the most heavily armed nation in Europe, if not the world. All suitable men 20 and over get a *fully automatic* SIG assault rifle and ammunition that they keep in their homes (and get a semi-automatic version of upon retirement fro m the state militia), and are encouraged to practice with it. Swiss citizens can also (legally) buy other firearms with about the same level of ease as we "gun crazy killing machine Americans" can. And yet, with all these "evil guns", the Swiss still enjoy low crime rates. There are probably a few other factors that contribute to this, but no use going into them at this point...
Anyways, back to crime and punishment...i think that thieves should have a sign outside of their house/apartment/place of residence stating
1) their name
2) their crime and what they stole, in an itemized list
and for the really stupid theives:
3) how they got caught
This should all be in BOLD, LARGE TEXT
This seems like a real nice anti-theft deterrent
