EVA idea

well, this is an idea I've been toying with for a while, but I dont really think ill be able to do it, so i may as well pass it on.
as soon as I heard this song I had about 1/3 of the vid already planed out.

the song is Immortal by Adema.

As you can see from teh lryics, and mostly the chorus, Im think rei, the 13th angel (Im not about to be laughed at GAIN for trying to spell his name). and you could get more meta physical, maybe working shingei for the "where will you run, where will you hide" bit, and mix it around with some action...

whatever. develop on it if you like. I may still do it, a long time from now, so by all means use it if you want to.

It would probably help if I could even remember which angel the 13th one
was. Unless you mean the one that infected Rei with that nasty thingy that
grew all over her and caused her to self destruct EVA00. If that's the one,
sound cool, but I can barely watch that scene w/o getting majorly creeped
out.

That sounds like a really cool song and idea. I haven't seen all of Eva yet...but I will be having a "Eva-a-thon" next weekend. And actually, I JUST finishing watching all of Cowboy Bebop. WOW!!!!!

(Best ending ever) And I think that song would be really well with an Eva/Cowboy Bebop mix. There's another idea out there. Someone can take that if they want it. If not, I'll do it once I finish my other Cowboy Bebop video.

Be very careful when making multi anime vids, because most of the time they just don't work. But they can also be good, like The Great Wang's Spike vs Vash "Smooth Criminal" AMV. So make sure you know what you're getting into before you commit yourself.

Yeah...multi using anime can be very dangerous. But I will do my best and then some. I will try to keep up to the standards that Cowboy Bebop and Eva have set (no matter how high they are set) I won't screw this one up. And actually, I got the most random combination to work when I was messing sround on my friends computer. I was able to mix Eva and FF8 and it actually didn't look bad. Somehow it worked (but thats just to me) The only problem is that I can never release it because I used clips from The Eva to Engel AMV (which is very good) Like I said, I was just messing around. But maybe one day (when I get all of Eva...SOON!!!) I will remake the video using only my clips and maybe it will work. Whatever...I plan to that in the future, no time really really soon. Unless someone really wants to see it...eh...whatever...it will all happen in due time.

Wasn't this that song that was done as a music video for Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance?

Anyway, how about using anime with an immortal in it? 3X3 Eyes being the most obvious.

Vampire Hunter D may also work.

yeah...that would be good, and I could do that, but I don't have 3x3 on DVD, and the only ones I have (Ep 1-4) are not good quality. But I know what you are going at, and it would be really good. If you, or anyone else wants to do "Immortal" to 3x3 or Vampire Hunter D, or maybe even Hellsing, feel free to. But as for me, I feel like doing it to Eva. Well..whatever happens, happens.

Immortal was released for Deadly Alliance, its the theme song. Like Saliva's "After Me" and The Thing. The problem with mixing anime also has to do with how the characters look and what kind of colour pallet is used. NGE and CB worries me because NGE likes to use bright,
predominantly primary colours, while CB uses more muted tones and alot
more black. And the characters are structured much differently. But
I don't mean to say that it couldnt work. It just seems dodgy.

The 13th Angel was Eva Unit 03 if I'm not mistaken. It got possessed by Angel 13, and Shinji had to fight it (one of the bloodies battles of the series). He refused because since it was an Eva, he knew there was a pilot in it. Gendo engaged the Dummy Plug, and Unit 01 went berserk.
