Question about music...
Yo. Anyone know how to equalize a song in mp3 format to a point where the vocals are alot quieter than the music? Like on a karaoke CD? I was trying it out in Premiere using Parametric Equalization and Normal Equalization, i got close but not close enough. Itd be easier if u could extract all the different audio streams that compose the song, then i could just delete the vocals! Anyway, know any programs that can make my task a little easier?? BTW, if u wanna know WHY im doin this, feel free to ask.

first. . .try to get a wav of it.
if its your music in the video, go buy the cd if you can.
not only is it in good taste, but its also necessary to acheive the best results.
mp3 that are compressed dont work as well with any audio filtering effects. THe effects work based on using phaze modulation to cancel out a vocal range, and it doesnt work well in lossy mp3 because usually it can't get as clean a sample of the waveform its trying to phase out. especially if its J-stereo compressed.
one of the easiest and suprisingly effective one's i've used is Analog X's winamp plugin.
