New Video! Mobile Suit Gundam Seed - First AMV From Me

Whelp, I finally did it. My first AMV is ready for viewing. Details below..

Anime: Mobile Suit Gundam Seed
Format: Quicktime
File Size: 27Mb
Music: "Over My Head" by Lit

I won't bore you will all the intricate details, just that I was pretty sick, needed something to keep my mind occupied and I had just learned how to use iMovie2. Several hours later, I had churned out my first ever AMV. A little re-editing later, and I had a much better version. That is what's online now. You can right click the URL and save it, I'm not sure if it will stream at all. But I'm new at this and learning tons as I go along. Comments and suggestions are appreciated as I intend to learn and absorb as much as I can so I can make better videos as time goes on. Also, as I'm learning more about encoding video on my iBook, an updated .MPG version will be uploaded soon, I'll post an update at that time.

I'm downloading this right now, I hope it's good and not some shit n00b vid (no offense, i'm hoping for the best)

This sounds really cool. Awsome anaime, and an incredible band. I'll get back to you on this thread as soon as I watch it. If it's any good, I may even review it for you.

(My apologies for the multiple posts. I'm so used to being able to go back and edit my posts, I didn't notice that option isn't available here. I've been online for well over 13 years...and it's amazing how one can go n00b in a matter of a few keystrokes...)

The video export didn't go as well as I wanted, and it's still in a bit of a rouch state. Regardless, it would be great to see if I'm on the right track here.

yeah, it was ok. Most importantly though I did enjoy it. I don't exactly see it winning any awards though.

Even though it's only an ok vid, you have excelent taste, keep it up and I'm sure you'll make something really great.

Whelp...I wasn't out to make any award winners, just something that I liked and had fun making. It does need more work of course, of that I am certain. And when the day arrives where I can get DVDs of the episodes, I'll be able to go back and improve upon them even more. But for now I just want to have fun and learn. The more I experiment, create and improve, the better I'll get. Then maybe someday, I'll consider a contest or two.

hey DakRoland! i just watched your video and thought it was pretty good. the song seemed to fit sometimes and sometimes it didn't. it would've been better if you had used more than just the first 2 episodes, but i know they are tough to get right now. regardless of all this, i thought it was great. gundam seed is one of the best series i've seen in a while, and i'm glad SOMEONE finally made an amv to it. good job.
