yes by whole scene about asuka and doll I meant the things you mentioned, theyre all in that scene :\

oh and I forgot the scene where gendo's hand is seen with adam embedded in it is part of the directors cut but made it into death.

oh and I could put the ultra shitty ep vhs recording converted to divx of the scenes that werent in death up as soon as my hosting comes back, its only 15mb :\
I grabbed these off of a friend who sadly had all of eva on cd really badly encoded from some guy online :\

Whoo, that Volume 7 is kinda expensive to import. Oh well, whoever said that being an AMV creator/Eva fan was an inexpensive endeavor?

I'd like to thank everyone for the great and extremely useful info. I've only got a few more questions just to make sure that I don't buy a DVD I can't use.

1. Are all DVD drives regionless? Mine's just a plain old generic drive, if that makes any difference.
2. Will I be able to play the disk in either Windows Media Player or CyberLink PowerDVD? I'd like to watch it if I'm going to buy it.

3. Will SmartRipper have any problem with it?

Probably stupid questions, I know, but I've never tried to mess with R2 stuff before.

Hmm, aren't the redone director's cut episodes coming out as a box set in summer this year? I believe that was what the whole second coming mystery was about.

Just have to wait till summer this year...

As far as I know, the rights for the directors cut footage was bought by Manga Video, as they were included in the rights to the movies. ADV bought the cheaper TV version license instead of the video release license but being able to get eva was probably the most important purchase they ever made.

I'm pretty sure the director's cut footage is still under license by Manga video, though :/

As for Arturo's DVD questions - most DVD drives have a hardware region lock but many have regionless firmware upgrades etc... search on the net for your model for more info.
