Why choose the avatar you chose?

I got the idea when RadicalEd0 said something about how our avatars have like a meaning for all of us.

So, why do you have the avatar that you have?

Because it looks like you?
Because it is you?
Because you lost a bet?
Because it reflects your creativity?
Because you rotate avatars everyday?

...

I'm using this one for a few reasons. I'm using Shinji because out of all the characters, I find I probably look like him the most, when I'm wearing contacts that is. I like to have my avatar give the impression of what look like. Also, this was one of the few pics of Shinji I had that after taking the part and resizing it, the quality was actually pretty good.

mine i use cuz i made it, and it expresses my personality, slightly over exagerated, ofcourse. this was done in photoshop 7 from scratch, and this thread gives me the sudden urge to make a new one....

I chose my former avatar of Spike because it worked with my name. I have Miroku now. NO, I AM NOT A PERVERT!

I chose him because, well...I just like him.
