I was in my local arcade hitting up DDR 3rd Mix. I suck, and I know full well that this is true, although I did learn a few tricks that may help me if I can implement them successfully. So, I was having fun sucking, when this 13 year old boy asks if he can go after me. I say sure, and I step down after I get killed again on a Basic Ordinary Soft song. The kid steps up, and looks at the machine blankly for a minute, then he chooses a song and goes at it.

Eighty-fucking-six combo was his best, almost all perfect hits, and he played at Tough level on the Trick setting. Then, a little 11 year olgd girl went up, and she hit a 77 combo on medium. This isn't on one round, either. This is on all three fucking rounds, when I can't even clear one without fucking it up all to hell.

I could just curl up into a little ball and scream until I burst. It was very disenheartening. Although, I did notice that they slide their feet whereas I pick mine up... maybe that may help...

I don't even wanna go into the guy my age who hit up a 186 combo on an extremely difficult setting... pain.

When I've played it on my PSX at home here with my shit pads, I seem to find my way faster to the floor then anywhere on the high scorers table

i'd rather not even get into the whole 'who's better at sucking' thing since i know i'll probably have a heart attack half an hour into it. even the 'how long are you going to live?' quizes told me i was going to have a heart attack in about 6 years because i "eat too much KFC". now that's disheartening.

It's because they have those little legs, man. Less to control and faster response. Same reason so many Asians are good at it too!
