Big Day Out

Today is the Big Day Out, Australia'a biggest festival.
On my line up:
Deftones
Sparta
QOTSA
PJ Harvey
Janes Adiction
Some Australian bands noone would have heard of.

The only problem with the BDO every year is picking from the various headliners that are on different stages, eg. Janes Addiction and Kraftwerk, Foo Fighters and Underworld and Machinegun Fellatio, etc.

Are the Australian bands no one would have heard of any good? If so, you should list them too. Well, I'm curious who they are...

and maybe

There are a few others that I'm not seeing but I can't remeber them.

Wow, sounds like a great show. Despite the abundance of great bands in the USA, we really don't have big shows like this, unless they're radio station-sponsored events held in ampitheaters and sports stadiums (where the choice of bands is usually not very good) or touring festivals like Area or Warped, which usually cost a lot to attend and are awash in corporate sponsorship.

Underworld? I've heard that for an electronic group, they put on a top notch performance. And seeing Kraftwerk would definitely be cool. I don't think they play together very often.

I just got back.
That was the best single day of my life, I was in the first five rows for Deftones, Foo Fighters, Janes Addiction and QOTSA and I moshed for about 4.5 hours all up.

I have suffered for my love though, now I have slept I am in an immense amount of pain from sunburn, moving my head more than 30 degrees brings me immense pain and I can't dry my body because even the softest towel feels like 12 grit sandpaper.
