Actually, I had just came apon a curiosty-filled question. . .

and from what ive seen your videos suck.

What have you seen? There are a few of mine that are all around sucking that I was just too lazy to take off the internet. So I'd really like to know what you saw.

So, you'll have to toughen up and keep hosting your videos, enjoy the feedback you get when you get it, op exchange a lot....or just take down your videos if it makes you feel so used.

Op exchange a lot. I am currently running my second thread for the same thing. I've only gotten one response within an around one month grace period. The first opinion exchange I started got some good responses. The other two. . . Bad. I think it's because I bitch a lot, people think my reviews must be crap. But if you ask any of the people I've given reviews for, they're actually pretty informative.

Gah. Looks like I'll just have to respond to op exchanges rather than make them.

I would ask you this, SQ. Aside from word-of-mouth, how else are people supposed to see your videos? The anime or the song can serve as initial attraction, and then if people like some of your work, they'll check out your other vids.

I'd say don't worry about WHY people download your videos. Just be happy that they found your video among the hundreds of others and downloaded it, not to mention that they bothered to IM you to get a HQ copy of it instead of being satisfied with the LQ version. So what if they only want to see previews of the anime? That doesn't mean they won't really like the video itself as well. Hell, more than half of the videos on my HD are from any combination of

(1) I like the anime

(2) I was curious about the anime

(3) I like the song

(4) I have enjoyed the creator's previous works.

The rest are videos I downloaded because they came recommended, or downloaded at total random out of boredom. It's not why they download the video, it's that they enjoy the video, even if they don't leave an opinion.

I personally don't put much stock in the opinions as far as the amount people who liked my videos. Sure, it's fan-fucking-tastic when someone says that they like your work, It's great to hear both things they liked and things they thought could have been better (shows me where I need to improve); but here's something I learned once regarding Customer Service that applies here. For every 1 person that gives feedback, roughly 8 others are keeping silent for whatever reason.

I think I've gotten off-track somewhere, but my point is don't worry about their reasons for downloading the video. At least they're watching it, eh?

Go to search, click "super search" and for anime put in "Kingdom Hearts II" There's about 5 responses, 2 being min, another being someone else's(And even though the video quailty absolutely sucked ass the AMV itself was awesome) and one that was not available for download.

For every 1 person that gives feedback, roughly 8 others are keeping silent for whatever reason.

The only AMV that gave me a "good" name. Only. God I wish I had another idea like that. . . .

But anyway, 760 is not 1064, and I highly doubt that every one of those 760 people told around 10 of their friends, who in turn told ten of their friends that SQ has "good" ideas on how to make AMVs, to add up to 1064. . ..

I never said it was "my content" I said it was "my work" as in the idea I thought up, and the construction I made, the sync of music and anime/game to make the AMV.
