Your own Gundam plot here

Post by Madzack » Sat Jan 18, 2003 7:58 pm

Let's face it, the guys behind Gundam are running out of story ideas. The new Gundam Seed series doesn't offer anything new other than your typical Gundam fights rival factions. So, for the good of all mankind, I decided to start this thread where posters can submit their own Gundam plot. Let me start first:
(Note: Title of movie should use Gundam in the sentence)

Gundam Ronin
Few years after the One Year War, peace reigns in colonised space amongst humanity. But peace is just a facade. For behind this so-called "peace", secret wars are fought between various factions. These factions hire Mecha mercenaries, most of whom are veterans of the previous, who still itch for fighting and are getting paid for it.

Five Mecha mercenaries are brought together by a mysterious employer. Their mission: to retrieve an "important item", said to be lost during the One Year War. But this mission isn't any ordinary salvaging; for the mercs to complete it, they must face their inner demons, as well as the dark legacies of the War and the shadowy conspiracies that's behind their mission.

Gundam: Pirate's Cove
Frequent wars aren't the only problem in the Gundam universe. Space piracy and crimewaves also plagued colonised space. These pirates take no sides of the Earth-Zeon conflict, nor they show any mercy. They take whatever opportunity they can to loot, raid and plunder the riches of deep space. And they do this by using Mechas that rivals the technology of both Earth and Zeon.

Amidst all this, a young woman comes in with destiny in her heart and revenge in her mind. Her life mission: To build the most powerful pirate clan in known space while avenging her parents' death at the hands of those responsible. And to do so, she must face rival pirate clans, ruthless crime syndicates, and the mighty armed forces of the Earth Federation and the Duchy of Zeon.

So howsit? What's your take on Gundam?

I know you want a serious response, but I'm just not up for it right now... the only thing I can think of when I hear "Gundam: Pirate's Cove" is a Zaku with a pegleg.

I forgot to add; there's no need for serious response. If you want to be funny be my guest. Do any kind of Gundam plot if you like. Actually, if later Gundam series brings you down, what better way than to make up a plot of your own?

I think that the idea of using the body sensor system in G Gundam was great but the story was weak and boring. If I were to create a series I would use the sensor system but have a still war time senario. OK here goes: It has been almost 30 years since a major war has taken place. Amuro Rei's daughter (LaLa rei, named after LaLa Suon who was the reason for his meeeting his wife)is now the leader of the Earth Federation. Many changes have taken place since, Amuro's days in the war. The Sapce colonies now depend on colonies located on Mars for resources as well as Earth. A new problem arrises when a secret organization launches a compaign of secret attacks on the Federation. The plot thickens as LaLa is kidnapped by the organization for secret experiments. LaLa is saved by a young pilot named Shige who was also being held in the organization's labs. When they excape they soon learn that they had been in captivity for almost 5 years and much has changed in the federation. Now LaLa and Shige must find out what happened and do it quick before the final battle takes place between the newly formed Federation of the Solar System and the organization known simply as DARK. Well that about does it. As far as I know that hasn't been done by any of the gundam series.

My ideas would just be based on their respective manga.

Gundam Wing Dual Story: G-Unit
Following the manga story of the newtype-ish brothers chosen to pilot the PV moded G-units in far reaches of space, one of the MO bases to be exact. Far away from the war brewing between OZ and the Romefeller Foundation, although still affected by the ripples of that war. Culminating in the showdown with Valdor Farkill in the Hydra Gundam.

X Crossbone Gundam
This manga appears to have a pirate theme to it, I haven't been able to get ahold of or read much of it, but it looks interesting.

SD Gundam Shin Sengokuden
Following one of the more popular SD Gundam Knight mangas. Of which my avator is from. A classic battle of good vs evil in a feudal Japan sort of setting. Where humans and mecha try to live together. And where super deformed mecha hijinxs run rampant. And giant spirit phoenixes and dragons try to control the destiny of the land. Where Gundam Knights are not restricted to just beam rifles and explosive missiles, but also katanas and sparkly magical spells.

G: Spot:
The Gundam pilots, down on their luck, attempt to enter the lucrative underground industry of hardcore pornography. Wacky Hijinks and mecha loving ensue. Starring Heero, Duo, Trowa, Chang, Ron Jeremy, and Quatre as the Ambigous Neighbor.

Gundam: Seeds, Stems and Leaves:
The Gundam pilots, on their days off, take to smoking the kindest of the herbs. They turn on the TV, only to watch the spanish channel for 3 hours, while attempting to consume 2 large pizzas and a pan of brownies apiece. The neighbors complain that they are playing "Dark Side of the Moon" too loud.

Gundam whatever (this could probably be a movie):

A newish pilot leaves his home colony of AKSALA-49 for the military base protecting the colony AMOHALKO-30 in the Asu system, due to a transfer by the (insert whoever runs the military). Once there, he is given a former police Gundam to play around in.

He meets many people, including a kitchen worker with a predilection for crude humor and British fox puppets, another pilot obsessed with the death of woman, a fresh initiate with an interest in black mageic and pie, a sassy base commander with a yen for cactuses and candy bars, a pseudo-lesbian and her budding protege, and a demented Chinese inventor/technician, among others.

Everyone works under the direction of General Edahp, to fight off the evil Reyalpsoc, an ugly alien race with a habit of dressing up in garish costumes. When annihilation rears it head, the newish pilot puts together a crack squad of the aforementioned characters to make an ultimate weapon and launch an attack that will, quote, "kick ass and beat meat". Which he does, and wins, yadda yadda yadda.

So, what do you all think  ?
I'm out...

I don't know much Gundam, so if this is extremely similar to an already existing Gundam plot line, my bad.

Gundam: Pheonix Rising

In the year 2678, Sanz Harraim is 7 years old. He is playing with some Gundam action figures modeled off of his father's Mobile Suit team in the living room while his mother watches the news. His father, Bayn, is a colonel in the Inter-Galactic Federation of Jahyn, and the commander of the elite mobile suit team known as Pheonix Rising. As he is playing, he turns his head when he hears the newscaster mention his father. On the news, the reporter is announcing that Pheonix Rising has met with tragedy as their commander was killed in battle. Young Sanz attends his father's funeral, and, over the closed casket, promises that he will follow in his father's foot steps as commander of Pheonix Rising.

Skip ahead a few years, and Sanz is now 21. After having enlisted at age 18, Sanz showed great promise as a mobile suit pilot. After only three years in the service, Sanz was assigned to be a mobile suit pilot in the Silver Thunder team. Eager to prove his worth to be a member of the elite Pheonix Rising, Sanz is only too ready to show what he can do. However, when Sanz reports for his first day at Silver Thunder, he learns something devastating that has been kept from the public. There is no longer a Pheonix Rising as they once were. After Colonel Harraim, Sanz's father, was killed, one of the members of Pheonix Rising, Garam Mefiss, began spreading false rumors about a plot to have Harraim assassinated. While proof was never made available, the members of Pheonix Rising took their gundams and fled the Federation. For the past 14 years, the former symbols of pride for the entire Federation have acted as vigilantes, striking out at the nation that they once served. Their gundams, each custom built to utilize the strengths of it's pilot to their fullest potential while minimizing their weaknesses, have proven to be formidable weapons, and their pilots nearly unbeatable in combat. However, for 14 years, they apparently have not been successful in defeating the Federation, instead only serving as a massive hindrance.

Sanz is devastated to learn that his father's former team, that he swore he would command, have turned into rogue criminals. Angered at the desecration to his father's memory, Sanz is delighted to learn that his first assignment will be to join an attack team whose objective is to track down Pheonix Rising and eliminate them.

Over the course of this prolonged mission, Sanz learns that it was Pheonix Rising themselves that assassinated his father, and that they fled to hide that. Garam Mefiss has his own objectives, and Bayn Harraim stood in his way. Pheonix Rising has spent the last 14 years in pursuit of an objective entirely seperate from the Federation, only attacking the Federation as cover to conceal their real goals. Garam Mefiss and Pheonix Rising have been in pursuit of a new source of limitless power, a way to channel the infinite destructive energies that exist in Hyper Space directly into this plane of reality, indirectly as a source of energy, and directly as a weapon that will allow something the size of a mere handgun the power to destoy an entire colony.

But for what purpose do they pursue this energy source? What are Mefiss' reasons for tapping this untameable power? And what will Sanz do when he finds these reasons out for himself? What about the rest of Pheonix Rising? Do they all share Mefiss' ideals? Or do they follow him out of fear? Or do they have their own agendas... And are they the only ones aware of this energy source?

Sorry, but that would spoil the surprise, and I'm too lazy to type any more.

Gundam love---After 5 years apart the cast from Gundam wing are united in more ways than love. Quatre runs a gay bar and the gang just wanders in. Maybe trowa is dying of aids. Just then Zechs comes in the door wearing his helmet an all out orgy ensues which includes strangling relena.

here's mine.

GUNDAM FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP SUCKING: Feturing characters that arent obsessed with fight for peace ethics and spend their fights fighting instead of arguing over their morals as to why they have chosen sides. Fights that arent interupted by philosophical drivel and a plot. Not a good or bad one, just a plot.
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab
