the problem with the gamecube version is that there are people who are already thinking of avoiding the GC version because of the controller, which isn't exactly the most user friendly when it comes to fighters...

the xbox version is probably going to be the least popular and heres why

most GC owners will check out SC for Link, Link is unquestionably the most popular character from nintendo's arsenal for several years now.. Mario just doesn't cut it like Link can..

now for Link to be in there it'll make some people forget about the controller issues.. thats going to make the GC version sell

the PS2 version is going to DESTROY the xbox and gc versions.. why? even with the crappy exclusive character, they have the largest user base of any console out now.. that alone will give them the unquestionable edge

no ones going to buy a gamecube for Link in SC (or xbox for spawn).. since the majority of console owners own a PS2 and not everyone owns more than 1 console... the only logic conclusion is that people are going to buy Soul Calibur, for Soul Calibur, not for some hidden character...

the reason this is getting much hype was because the first Soul Calibur was so good... thats what people are going to get when they play this game.. a great game.. that just so happens to have a console exclusive character in it..

this is probably how its going to go down

PS2 - Best Selling.
GC - Most Talked about.
Xbox - Possibly the best Version of the 3, but not the most popular.

Well, it doesn't much matter to me about the secret characters, but Kamoc told me a pretty good reason behind buying it for the Xbox: It's controller is a direct ripoff of the Dreamcast controller.

You're right about the whole PS2 has the largest fanbase, but still. I said "We'll see how it goes." (By the way, I know PS2 will sell best. All multi-platform games on it do.)

its ironic.. the Original Controller feels like the DC pad..

but the S pad feels like a mix between the Original pad and the ps2 controller..

the S pad is actually really good.. i have 1 of each... very good pad to say the least (if you get used to the S, the original will be a pain in the ass to use again.. which is why I use the Original more often)

lol yeah, I couldn't make a pass in NFL2k2 for a MONTH cuz the dam colers are INVERTED!!! GADAMIT!!! (the S-controller is SOOOO much better btw, not only smaller, lighter, thinner but more grip friendly and ergonamic!!)

I use the original, my hands are big. but I love the S too....

I agree about the sells. I don't even play fighting games and I'm now getting Soul Calibur because Link is in it. Spawn has his own licenses all over the place and isn't as immediatly recognizable in the gaming world as Link, Link also has a lot more popularity. Hell Nintendo had to move their japanese promotion over here even though it's the same game veryone allready has but they want it anyway simply because it IS LINK.
