Some questions about premiere
I'm currently working on my third video using Premiere, and I was wondering if there was a way to do certain effects. If this is the wrong thread/forbidden topic, just tell me, but is there a way to resize one clip in Premiere and then move it around? Like have a big picture and then cut another picture from the same source footage and then shrink the second picture and shift it to a corner or something? Thanks.
There's a fine line between genius insanity...and I've crossed it 67 times.

Motion Settings :\
The l33t Transform effect, it's under Perspective. You need to know the concept behind keyframes and how to use them. Premiere manual gives you tasty information all the time on things like these.
But yeah. If you need something more detailed maybe I'll whip something up about it...
But Motion Settings! or Transform effect!

I agree. Make the guide, klinky! Put ErMac and AD to shame!
What's key framing?
(Synth, you live in PA? More importantly, you are close to Montgomery County, which is close to ME! Plus, the word "angel" is in your name! YouRockRockRockRockRock!)

Keyframing is basically giving the computer a few set values in time and letting it estimate the values in between those values. > . >
Err...
Well say you had a Radial blur, and you can adjust the level of a radial blur by like 1 -90 or something.
So you say on frame1 you want the blur to be a value of 10, and by frame20 you want it to be 90.
So you tell the computer that and then it estimates the values for frames2 through 19. It's pretty simple actually. You have twenty frames, and you need it to increase from frame1 to frame20 by 80(10 - 90 = 80). So you just divide 80 by 20 and you get 4.
So it goes like this:
frame1: 10
frame2: 14
frame3: 18
frame4: 22
frame5: 26
frame6: 30
frame7: 34
frame8: 38
frame9: 42
frame10: 46
frame11: 50
frame12: 54
frame13: 58
frame14: 62
frame15: 66
frame16: 70
frame17: 74
frame18: 78
frame19: 82
frame20: 86
??? O_O
...and well >_< it eventually equals out. This is how stupid Premiere does it because it does seem to cut off the last value. A better way of doing it would be to minus 1 off the frame count and then use that to divide the sum by. But whatever >_<.

Alright, I'll read the maual, and then I'll read the guides. I'm taking it one step at a time. So far, I've got lip synching, DVD ripping and compression down really good. I'll find some time one day.
Heh, AD, that coming from the little girl in your avatar is so adorable! BTW, is that only two frames? I swear I'm seeing a third.
