#1: It's not a movie.
#2: It's FMV from two video games released for the PlayDia video game console system.
#3: The footage was combined by fansubbers long ago, mostly raw, to create the one "movie" (although a script was timed out by Carddass, who loooooong-time fans will remember as the owner of the website "Paozu Yama" and later worked on toriyama.org).
#4: It's better off remaining "lost"; in theory the plot sounds kinda cool, but it's just so.. so... terrible...
Honestly, I don't know where you would be able to get a copy of it. The quality of even the BEST copy is "watchable" at best (and I've *got* a first generation copy). I actually DO remember that in the past (maybe a year ago) some sites were distributing "ROMs" (CD images) of the two games, and I think even had an emulator for the system (no clue if it worked).
Be interesting to see if anyone could track down these CD images, or find some random moron who BOUGHT the game, and rip the video files to make a brand-new copy of.. what is quite possibly the worst story of any "DragonBall" universe, ranking even below DBZ movies 4 and 11... *shudder*

It's definitely FMV, because the "Lost Movie" (whatever you want to call it; "Plot to Exterminate the Saiya-jin" is a rough translation of the games' titles) has random game footage of the world map thrown in for good measure, if you can't or don't want to admit to yourself that it's from a video game :D
And it's neither a movie nor an OVA.... it's video game footage :P

i need dragonball z
When ever Dragon Ball Z fans admit that it's bad, I have a tendancy to think it's pretty bad. I like Dragon Ball Z somewhat, but if Vegetto AND NickD are willing to agree that it sucks... I tend to believe them and just wanna save myself the time by not watching it at all.

I have to agree with Garylisk. When many big fans of the show says it sucks (and I can also say most fans are also in agreement that it's one of the worst things DBZ-related *ever* made), that's gotta tell you something.
The only reason I got it many years ago is because I wanted to see for myself how truly bad it was. Let's just say, it wasn't worth the $10 I spent to get it. It's probably worse than all of DBGT put together.
