ive watched the series loved it .. went along and tried to find out what the name actually was .. i cant seem to find an absolute answer .. if its a R or L .. kinda like the idea about alucard being dracula being spelled backwards .. of course ... it could be even a variation of the 2 names .. never could tell .. maybe a native japaneese speaker could?

It's Arucard officially, being stated by Gonzo, but I believe in the dubs, Pioeneer (or whoever is dubbing Hellsing) changed it to Alucard, as it is in most fansubs.

Look it's definately Alucard, you know the way the Japanese can't pronounce l's that's why it's called engrish. Also there is further evidence in the fact that Alucard spelt backwards is Dracula. Yesw very logical
