Does AVS script work with MP4?

I got a bit of a hiccup here. I have DVDs of a certain anime, and the last DVD in the set isn't copying to my computer with DVD Decrypter on my current computer. And I don't think it is because the disc is damaged, because it was copied perfectly without problems to my older computer, and I tried another DVD that had the same issue on this computer that had the same issue that I had two different versions of, and on both copies it was doing the same thing. Is it just because my current computer has a crappy disc drive? Whatever the case, I can only find the episodes of this series in question in MP4 format and I do not know if AVS script which I mainly use is compatible with AVS script and if it is, I do not know if AVS scripts using MP4 is compatible with the version of Adobe Premiere I am using because it is an old version from about 2005 or before, because I live in poverty and cannot afford to upgrade and I am too used to the set up I have that I have been using on the version of Premiere I use that I have been using for the past 20 years now. Surely there has to be some solution to this! The ZIP file that had the MP4 files also has something called MKV files and I do not know what program will support them or if they are compatible with AVS script either, and it also came with a torrent file and I don't know why. And I can't make any AMVs for this show with all the episodes from the DVDs I have because of the problem with DVD Decrypter copying the last disc to my computer. Somebody please help me! I haven't made any videos for the anime in question in years and I am eager to make some new ones and I can't with the current situation!

That link doesn't help me at all. It doesn't say what to write in the AVS files for using MP4 or MKV.
