song: "Sweat" by Tool (1992)
I've waited almost a decade to make this AMV. I first got the idea sometime around 2017 (a year before I edited my first video) from watching the "Nightmares and Daydreams" episode from Book 3 of the show. That spurned at least a few more Tool/Avatar video ideas that have been rattling around in my head for many years. I purposefully waited until I felt more confident in my editing ability to even attempt this pairing, and picked the 'easiest' first. I'm very happy with how this turned out! To achieve the dreamlike effect I just overlayed the clips and added blurring.. which is a very simple technique! but I doubt I would've thought to use it had I tried editing this like 4 years ago.
When Speedy180 announced the AMV Class Warfare contest I figured this would be a great opportunity to get this video done. So much thanks to him!
Hopefully I attempt another Tool/Avatar video next year
