Once again, it is time to start talking about AWA's 2025 AMV contests. We are still working to get https://awa-con.com/features/the-video-art-track/ updated with the most up-to-date information. In the meantime, here is some bullet point info regarding changes compared to previous years or other important notes.
1. This is a Masters year. We are again judging Masters using a 5-person panel consisting of Speedy, Kirbygal, myself, and two past Masters winners. Questions about Masters specifically should go to GloryQuestor at awavatprogofficial@gmail.com, since Kirby and I have to be blind with respect to this particular contest for judging purposes.
2. Masters is limited to one entry per editor.
3. Questions regarding Expo and Accolades can go to either me or Kirbygal. When it comes to intake issues specifically, I handle the forms and upload locations, so the quickest way to get an answer regarding issues related to either of those two things is usually through me via jwcolossal@gmail.com. Related: If you submit entries for Expo and/or Accolades through the form and don't get a confirmation e-mail from me within three to four days, poke me about it. My ADHD can be a hell of a thing sometimes, and I don't want to sit on confirmations for as long as I sometimes have in the past.
4. Expo and Accolades will both in general see a small reduction in the overall number of awards given this year.
5. Fixed categories for Accolades will be Drama, Fun/Upbeat, Action, Character Profile, Comedy, Sentimental, Wildcard, and Best in Show. The number of additional categories determined by the participants will be 5. Overall total of 13 awards plus the return of Nekokitkat's painting.
6. Accolades is limited to two entries per editor.
7. As a reminder, both Accolades and Masters have a "right of first exhibition" requirement for eligibility. In simple terms, these contests are strictly for videos that have NOT been posted online and have also NOT premiered as part of another contest prior the awards show for the contest during AWA 2025 weekend (award show scheduling still TBD).
8. While there are situations that may present exceptions, in general, if a video is disqualified from Accolades or Masters for that or another reason, the video may either be withdrawn or moved to Expo. We will contact the editor to determine which they prefer before doing anything with a disqualified entry.
9. Expo has no limit on videos per editor. The key stipulation is keep it to content that has not been submitted to one of our contests previously. Substantially re-mastered/re-worked videos are acceptable.
10. Submission deadline for all contests is Sunday, October 26 by 11:59 PM EST. As a note: I'll be a LOT more willing to offer grace to people regarding deadline if I am informed of any issues BEFORE deadline.
11. A lot of discussion regarding contests (and the Accolades judging process when it gets underway) occurs in the VAT discord (https://discord.gg/PRE3HgX5mC). While we are endeavoring to do better regarding e-mail communication moving forward, a lot of our processes still assume most participants are either following things here on the Org or via the VAT Discord.
Thank you, and here's to another great year.

I'll be at MomoCon the next few days, plus I have possible Memorial Day activities, which will slow down confirmations for a bit (in the event anything gets submitted during that timeframe; things still coming few and far between this far out from AWA). I'll handle confirmations for any such videos after the holiday.

So from what I understand, the Adult Only Music Videos (AOMV) contest will not be running this year in 2025?

Correct; AOMV is planned as an every-other-year contest for non-Masters years. So next AOMV contest would be 2026.
