It's time to embrace the message board life
199x-2010: The Internet was fun
2010-now: not so much tbh, I won't explain why, you know why
It's time to get back to the message board life that you used to love but then somehow fell out of... and now just assumed it's a thing of the past? I've got news for you: message boards are still here and they're waiting for you.
You can ask questions and get answers from real people, people that will sometimes go all out to help you if you ask nicely.
Ditch the D*scord addiction and the FOMO anxiety that comes with re-checking all of your favorite servers dozens of times a day. If anyone posts on this message board, their post will still be here when YOU are ready to read it. This is all on YOUR time, because this is YOUR life.
Did you know you can take your time to reply to a post whenever it's convenient for you? That there's nothing wrong with waiting a day or even TWO to do that? That's not rude, and no one is ever going to call you out for replying to a topic that "no one is talking about anymore." You don't have to put up with that shit! If you missed someone's brand new thread from last week, you still have plenty of time to reply to it. They'll be glad you did!
You can write posts as long or as short as you want. You can embed videos and links. It's great! And if you write a long post that you put a bunch of effort into, you don't have to worry about anyone suddenly changing the topic and bumping your work out of sight. It's still going to be there right on the front page. And people will be able to see that it's new. It's such a cool feature, and one of the many that make message boards some of the most useful and intuitive platforms for communities on the Internet.
You also don't have to scroll through dozens and dozens and hundreds of messages to find something that's interesting or relevant to you. Message boards are sorted by different topics. If you don't see one that covers what you want to talk about, you can make it yourself! And it's free!
Join me in Message Board Summer 2025. Or for those of you in the Southern Hemisphere, Message Board Winter 2025.
Come back to message boards: you'll be happier, more content, more fulfilled, more entertained, and probably spending less time online than you've ever been. It all starts here.

I agree with this message.
Unfortunately I never have anything worthwhile to add to 99.9% of conversations.

It is like a return to the womb. Best part, no update that moves all the buttons around, and forces an algorithm into your day to day interactions with people.
