Event Info
AMV Gauntlet is a brand-new team-based editing competition at Sakura-Con. This year's theme is Dueling Animations, featuring a diverse array of animation sources with an emphasis on fighting, competitions, and duels. Only one team will win in this epic showdown!
Basic Guidelines
Teams must pick 4 sources to edit with out of a list of 12 (one of these will be made exclusive to your team). Each 1-hour leg of AMV Gauntlet will have its own unique hurdle and secret sauce (an unknown source) for the editor. These are chosen at random and if an editor can successfully incorporate these into their team’s video, extra points are awarded to the team. At any point in the competition, an editor may also "throw the gauntlet" and ask for an additional hurdle for extra points. For detailed rules and to sign up, please fill out our form below.

Logistics
Editing will take place throughout the entire weekend in the AMV Office. Editors must schedule slots in advance. Final videos will be showcased and judged in the AMV Theater on Sunday, April 20 at 2:30 PM.
Prizes
You and your team will receive sets of two Sakura-Con 2026 badges per team member (full 3-day passes) and custom certificates if you win!
