Thank you everybody for submitting to Anime Central. We received a total of 400 videos from 154 editors. We've surpassed our 2023 count of 185 videos and 84 editors by about double. This is likely due to the lax freshness rule we had for this year, but nonetheless these are very high numbers. We will need a little bit more time to judge everything due to the quantity, so hopefully we will get finalists posted by early May.

Hi all! We finished.

Due to the number of entries and feedback from the judges, we took the time to split some entries into the newly created Horror and Artistic categories. We also split up Drama/Sentimental into separate categories. The contest will be May 17th at 5:30pm CST and will run for 3 hours. I will be working on getting the contest live streamed for all the editors at home as well as setting up a way for editors to vote from home. This plan is very interim, but I will do my best.
