Whats the big deal about dubbing???

Not intimidated at all annoyed yes that I am. Kenshins male voice sounds like a wussy guy but hes still a guy.

Could another reason of bad dubbing be that sometimes the American voice actors don't put enough effort or drama into any type of dramatic anime scenes???? I've noticed that in a video game called Grandia Xtreme, the actors don't seem like they're trying at all. Its the only example I could say because its basically the same thing, replacing Japanese voices with American ones. They've even used big named celebrities too such as Dean Cain, Lisa Loeb and Mark Hamill for some of the major characters of the game and they kinda sucked.

I've been watching anime unleashed and the Crest of the Stars dub isn't painful to listen to, but everyone sounds emotionless and lifeless. I thought maybe it was the roles of the race to be that way but everyone on the show so far has taken way too many sedatives.

hey, they'll never even know if it someone doesn't say that there is an audience for it.

They like polls..I'll give them an email and post whatever answer I get back here. It's worth a try. I'd really like them to air the original Lain anyway.

You want to know how shitty a dub can get? watch Day of destiny sailormoon episode 45/46 in American Dubs.....then watch the same 2 episodes (American dubs it into one) in Japanese and hten tell me you still dont think dubs are bad.

Don't do it!!! Don't for the love of god!!! Personally I would sooner stick white-hot needles into my eyeballs than fry my mind with such nonsenseical garbage.

did you watch the japanese version? Its so much better. It actually makes you have....EMOTIOPN or something. Like you actually enjoy the episode instead of listening to a bunch of cut together scenes.

i just recieved my trigun dvd perfect collection yesterday .. and am pleasently surprised on how well the english dub is .. (even if it is the black power ranger lol) .... it just goes to inforce the fact that not all dubbs are god awful .. and their is still some hope
