The Prince of Darkness movie does at least show the result of the Earth-Jovian war, although it doesn't explain what happens exactly in the interim. It's interesting that Nadesico is in quite a few video games. I'm pretty sure there was a dreamcast game for it as well.

And it was in 3 of the Super Robot Wars games. Aestivalis are one of the cheapest units, super-high dodge rate, and distortion fields can act as an I-beam on certain surfaces.

I just watched Prince of Darkness and its well . . . interesting. It was good to see the cast again, but the storyline was wierd. The ending was like the series ending: it was short and left you saying "what the f*ck."
