Fantastic scene selection, every verse felt specific to every clip you were using. Everything here feels fresh and exciting and locked in despite how many times I've seen these scenes in the anime and in various AMVs. You rode the flow on this perfectly. I was flabbergasted the first time I saw this and weeks later my reaction has barely budged. Great stuff.

Little Nightmares and Soul Eater are a great match, and this video made me sit up in my chair when I saw it last Friday during the Kumoricon stream. It's fun and engaging throughout with that perfect mix of humor and creepiness that makes the song and show meant for each other.

Though, if this video has a flaw, it's that the scene selection is obsessively literal. You matched each individual lyric to an appropriate corresponding clip, at the cost of any sort of visual flow or emotional dynamics. There's no rise and fall of feelings, just a flat line of quality macabre entertainment. Sure, that's what the song is, but it does mean that engaging with the video on its own terms is harder if you aren't familiar with either the song or the show.

That's not to say you did anything wrong, or made any poor decisions. I'd say it's a problem from the concept stage. This video is pretty much as good as it could be, and I applaud that just as much now as when I first watched it. Plus, damn do I love Little Nightmares, and hence this video by extension. Great work.

I would say that this is what I love most about this video. Literal lyrics make me happy. I'm simple-minded like that and want to understand what's happening without thinking about it too hard. And lest we not forget some ancient words of wisdom:

"if he says pretty rose in the song, there better be a god damned rose on the f*cking screen"
