Oh my....did I read my (abnormally long) title correctly? I'm actually on a winners list?

No really, were there...the fewest amount of entries for the trailer category or something? Like, two? Or one? XD Because I never win anything, this is a first! And I wasn't expecting it for an academically-derived 'AMV' too - I was just really happy it screened so that I could get a (pretty political) message out there :3.

You don't know how many cons have automatically rejected this exact entry because it has the English Dub audio. You are literally the first American Con who has accepted it. Strangely, only countries like Canada and Australia (where I'm from) have accepted it (as unorthodox as my vid is) when I was under the belief that the US had a free speech right. And a Fair Use exception. Even when my video IS metaphorically about Fair Use. It's ironic. I was getting worried that my political message wouldn't even be allowed to reach the people it was intended for! Fans, like us, who use material because we like it, not to destroy other people's intellectual property. From another country's point of view, the US' copyright laws are way too extreme, to the point that your free speech rights appear to come second to the wishes of corporate owners (like anime distributors).

But thanks a lot, whoever made this happen! I truly am thankful. This really made my already-great day even better! (Sorry for the speech, I was happy hahaa)

I could tell you put a lot of heart and time into this video and it really showed. There where about 25 entries just in the trailer category to so it wasn't an easy decision, but your video stood out the most to me with the sheer amount of effort put forth in it. I really support the Fair Use message to behind the video and i'm glad the other judges agreed with me. Congrats again on your win and expect ur Plague in the main in a few weeks. XD

Omg we absolutely LOVED your video....(has been watching it even after the con). It felt like it was the store of what it means to be an Editor to me a little bit. Dunno if that was intended but that's what I got from it. XD
