Re: Youmacon 2015 Deadline Extended! Oct 3rd!
There is time to rectify issues, however if you are having problems with the 'approved' list of sites we will accept mediafire (in fact I think a few people have used it, along with other file share sites.)Magicflier wrote:This is why I dislike dropbox, it gives unknown problems. xD
I hope the coordinators would accept mediafire in the future, as I prefer mediafire it being more reliable.
As long as you actually filled out the web link form correctly and on the entry status page you see your link listed then yes, we got your entry. The entry status page will also list the current status of your entry. We will be going through all entries submitted up to the deadline tonight so by morning you should know if your entry was received or if there were problems.Tsiahiv wrote:Any way of knowing if mine went through?
As stated earlier, if there are issues you will have until 11:59pm EDT on Oct 6th to re-submit and resolve the issues. This however is only granted to those who actually filled out the web-link form as has been stated much earlier and re-iterated multiple times in the rules and in the entry system we will overlook any attempt to have submitted a video via the link field in the entry form as that is for permanent links to be used by attendees after the con to download/view your entries.

Re: Youmacon 2015 Sumissions Closed
Entry submissions is now officially closed. All submissions have been processed and status updated. You should have received an email and if not check the entry status page to see your entry status. Judging will be happening over the next few weekends so no further extensions can be allowed. Thank you to everyone who submitted and good luck. I will be posting the list of finalists after the results are tabulated.
A note on re-submissions and link issues:
As per previous years, we will allow a short period of time for re-submissions if there are problems with your entries (invalid codecs, broken/locked links, ect.) This courtesy will be extended to all entrants who have had issues. The re-submission deadline is Oct 7th, and as such re-submissions will no longer be accepted after 11:59 PM EDT on Oct 6th. Only 1 resubmission attempt will be allowed per entry after the normal submission deadline. Also note, this courtesy is only given to entrants who submitted a link/video in the first place (the comments on your entry from the coordinator should say please resubmit). If you failed to complete the weblink form before the normal deadline your entry will be DQ'ed and no resubmission will be allowed. This is not a deadline extension, this time is for the few individuals who had issues with their submissions to fix the their issues.
Keep in mind all you need to do to re-submit is to update the link in the web-link form on the entry status page.

The list of finalists have been posted here: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/forum/v ... 6#p1538156
Congrats to everyone who made it into the at-con showing! You should be receiving update emails from the entry system shortly as well. Keep in mind that being in the at-con showing does not guarantee an award nor does not being in the showing guarantee no award and thus no actual viewing at-con.
A note on entry status:
Any entry marked as "Video Accepted" is a finalist video and the video will be played at the convention during our contest viewing blocks.
Any entry marked as "Accepted for Overflow" did compete for awards, however was not selected to be shown during our showing blocks. The video is retained for viewing during request blocks and other random points where our staff may choose to show/highlight the video.
Any entry marked as "Problems Found/DQ" was found to have a problem resulting is disqualification found during either the first QC or during final QC/Judging. Better luck next year.

Re: Youmacon 2015 Finalists Posted!
We're coming into the home stretch! The con is this weekend and I can't wait to showcase all the great videos we've gotten this year!
In previous years we've had a stream going all weekend long for anyone to jump in and watch. This year due to the new venue I cannot say if we will have this going or not. If we do I will be posting the details out here as well as to our social media locations on Facebook and Twitter, @fatatyouma and https://www.facebook.com/FanArtTheater . We do plan to have a stream going for the Award Ceremony at least and links to that stream will be posted once verified as well.
As usual I will be live tweeting the winners of the competition during the award ceremony so give our twitter a follow if you'd like to see that info. A final list of results will be posted here sometime on Sunday assuming we have internet if not the twitter will be the most accurate until I get home and get set back up sometime Tuesday after the con.
