Re: Youmacon 2015 Fan Art Theater Competition (AMV Contest)
A majority of awards have actually been given to winners over the last few years. Yes, I do have ones that haven't been received. Contact me directly and we can verify which ones they are and arrangements can be made. Conversely, I do bring the old awards with me to the con each year and can present in person there, or at any other con I'm attending (currently only AWA at this point) if I know ahead of time that you will be there.

Re: Youmacon 2015 Fan Art Theater Competition (AMV Contest)
Thank you to everyone who has already submitted entries. I have processed the current entries.
At this time I wanted to inform everyone that there has been an update to the entry system that our current entrants who have submitted entries should have already been notified of. That is the system will now send out email updates when your entries status changes. The update will list the current entry status, which includes the video status definition, if the entry is DQ'ed or not, and the extra info field which we use to notify details for DQ's or problems with your entries. The entry status page is still available to check on all of your entries, however now when the status changes you will be notified of the update via the email you have listed with the system.
One thing to note, there is a limit to the number of emails our system can send out in a single day. So if we hit the limit (unlikely, as multiple accounts are used, but a possibility) you may not receive an update. So if your entry hasn't been processed in 72 hours from submission it may be good to check the entry status page for updates.

Deadlines are fast approaching for Youmacon's competition. Deadline for Snail-mail and FTP uploads are just about a month a way. Web uploads will still be accepted until Sept 30th however.
Also a friendly reminder that any 1st viewing requirements from any contest can still be met if submitting to Youmacon as long as the other convention requiring a fresh entry happens before Oct 30th as that is when the first showing at Youmacon will happen.

Expounding on this, you can submit any form of video creation, not just music videos.the rules wrote:• There are no content requirements for this contest. Your videos may contain any type of footage you see fit to use, provided it doesn’t fall into one of the categories for disqualification.
o The allowable footage types include but is not limited to the following:
Anime
Manga
Live Action
My Little Pony
Non-Japanese Cartoons
Video Games

Received quite a few submissions recently. I will be getting to those after the weekend since I'm leaving right from work to head up north. So don't worry.
A friendly reminder to anyone planning on using FTP or Snail-mail for their entries. Submissions will no longer be accepted for these methods in little over a week. That's Sept 14th and 15th! Beyond that all entries must be submitted via web upload feature.
Good luck and I look forward to seeing more great entries!
