yeesh, looks like I started a rather heated debate, didn't I?
For the record, for me it's less about winning lots of trophies with one video. It's simply my first competitive video that I was really proud of and basically want to show it to everyone. Plus, it's like what Pieandbeer says. It's hard to limit yourself when you see other videos win at some cons, but not even make it to others so it makes you want to send it to as many as you want just to see where it goes. But if you con hop (unfortunately, I don't. I only go to one every year) I can see the irritation of seeing the same videos play over and over at different cons. Especially those that have already won a couple. In theory you could avoid this but spreading out. Like, the people who saw your video at Boston are most likely not going to be the same people who see it at California. Fortunately I've yet to win anything with my video. If I do then I'll probably retire it and try something new.
