Wondering if I signed up too late. What happens if someone doesn't get an FTP link before the contest closes?

Actually, FTP links will be given out to everyone who enters video information. The ability to enter information is closing tonight, not the contest itself.

The final deadline (which is when the FTP closes and all files are due, whether on the FTP or by other means) is actually March 8th, not tonight. You just have to make sure to get a video entry in the system before tonight.

I have processed all FTP accounts currently in the system. There is 1 hour and 30 mins left from this posting to submit your entry form. I will turn off entry submissions at that time and complete any last min stragglers requesting FTP.

For everyone who has filled out a video entry but not yet submitted video files, you now have until 11:59pm EDT on Sunday, March 8th to get us your video files, either through the FTP or through other means. I will be sending out reminder e-mails to those who are still pending.

Keep an eye on your e-mail and ngsilver's Contest page status for changes. A few notes:

- If you have submitted files via the FTP, you should make sure that you go into your Video Entry page and click "Close FTP Account" on the videos that you uploaded -- this sends a report that the video is ready.
- If you have closed your FTP and you do not see your status change to "Video Received" in the 24 hours after uploading your file, you should immediately e-mail tekko@ngsilver.com and let ngsilver know.
- If you sent the file by any other means (video link, separate e-mail) and your do not see your status change to "Video Received" in the 24 hours after uploading your file, you should immediately e-mail amvs@teamtekko.us and let me know.

There will be more information once we finish collecting video files, so if you have a pending entry, get your files to us ASAP!

We have finally finished processing the video pool. Here is the final breakdown of videos that are in the Main Contest this year:

- ACTION = 19
- CLASSIC ANIME = 7
- COMEDY = 10
- DRAMA = 19
- ROMANCE & SENTIMENTAL = 14
- TRAILERS = 6
- UPBEAT = 12

As you can see above, the bad news is that Theme did not get enough videos to compete. The good news is that there was apparently enough demand and videos for another category: The Classic Anime category! So, we are opening this category up for its own award this year! The Extreme contest also has 12 videos that will duke it out for the Extreme Contest award this year, so we're going to have a nice selection of late-night viewing.

We're going to compile everything and get it off to the judges soon, so keep an eye on the forums, Org Facebook, and Tekko Facebook for the list of AMV Contest finalists once they are determined!

The convention will have two showings for the AMV Contest: The "early bird" showing on Friday at 10:30am in the AMV Theater and a Main Event showing Saturday at 12:30pm. Awards will be announced at the convention on Sunday at 3pm in the AMV Theater.
