First off let me introduce myself. I am Turbotailz and it's nice to meet you all. I've recently became active on my youtube account uploading video games gameplay that I play. I also taken interest in making a music video out of them, but probably won't do much.
However I have a hard time understanding the copyright system for AMV overall so I need help on this.
I need help trying to understand copyrights for making gaming music videos. I've created one already and it uses half of the song I like. I also added fonts to the video for translation with the support of a youtube video that have the proper translation. My video game clips I use syncs well with the lyrics and music. I did send out a permission message to the owners, but I have a feeling it may take forever for them to reply. I just want to know if I'm in a safe zone and I will give credit to the people of their works, but I've heard that doesn't help either.
I like feel to upload it right now to see what happens, but I don't want to get a strike on my account.

*update*
I've already uploaded it and it was accepted. My only condition was to allow advertisement in my video which isn't a big deal .
