The majority of my stuff I did get off oav movie type files and openings I downloaded off a file sharing program. Maybe a little from this one website that appeared to be designed just for this purpose. Quality is average at worst than one would see anywhere else on this site.
I'm not trying to be a bad person! I would just like to make a video with some stuff! I don't want to be a thief, I'll gladly credit everything!![]()
I made a vid for myself, and then I would like to share it with the world if they want to see it. I don't think it's that bad or evil.

I personally have no quarrels with downloaded clips other than the fact that they look like crap. If you need to use then to get learning about AMV orchestrating I say do so. You may get flamed every once in a while, but as long as it's a good learning experience you haven’t wasted anything. Hell my first AMVs were done using DLed clips and people tell me they are some of my best. Besides if you wind up with a winner you can always turn around and make a 2.0 using rips.

are you getting paid to spend your time creating an anime music video? Serious? It's a hobby to me, something fun to do. If all that crap worried me, I wouldn't do it. And if it does, don't bother. I make AMV cause I like it. That's the only thing that should matter. Are you going to get permission from the band for the song you use?

So you’re claiming that you personally asked System of a Down and sum 41 if you could use their music? I am supposed to buy that you have REAL bands begging you to make AMV's using their music? I mean Jesus man exactly which bands to you claim to know? And exactly how old are you? And how stupid you think we are? Serj wouldn't give you the time of day, he wouldn't give me the time of day. And you know what? He doesn't have to. As a mater of fact if I were Serj I would eat your face just for telling people we are tight.[/b]

::watches angry replies:: I hope I haven't started something ugly here..
Thanks for the DVD progs, but I can't use them... ;_; I checked the guides, and I'd still need a DVD-ROM to rip them. And I don't have a DVD-ROM, and I don't think I have room to have one installed..
I made an amv becuase I wanted to, I thought it would be cool. I wouldn't expect any profit for it. I agree, I think it is an homage to the band as well as the anime. I try to be careful. I don't want credit for anything that isn't mine.
I am scum! I own nothing! I just rearrange and move stuff around!
My amv-making abilities have very low self-esteem right now. Sorry I bothered everyone.

I know taking Back Sunday, I've talked with the used and when i go to see Taking back Sunday back stage i'll probably get aquainted with the Used, it how it works. Blink-182
Finch
Rufio
The Ataris
Sugarcult
Auto Pilot Off
New Found Glory
The Starting Line
Home Grown
and I'm sure I'm forgeting people
Bands I've talked with that I'll probably know better:
Riddlin Kids
The Used
Greenday
Midtown
Further Seems Forever
Allister (coming with Finch Later This Month)
The Juliana Theory (coming with something corporate in febuary)
Fenix Tx
Saves the day
Senses fail
the Early Novembers
No Motiv
Thrice
The Movie Life
and I'm sure many more to come.
Bands that Have requested Videos:
The starting Line and Taking Back Sunday (as of recently, saw them in december)
Look buddy, you'd have to be a complete dumb shit to think that once you become a band no one knows who you are, security is tight, and you lose all friends. There are people like me out there, and I have 4 more friends that are just the same. This is my hobby, everyone has hobby (look at this site for example) I spend my time at shows, I meet bands when they're small, and we stay friends long after they've gotten big. I have a job, so that I can raise money to go see these people, sometimes they don't come to my town directly.
So re-cap, This is what I do, yes there are people in the world like me that actualy know people, and you must be pretty dumb if you don't believe that.
I'm just too lazy to touch anything, that sum 41 vid is coming down, it's going to be a Trigun/Rufio video. That system of a down video was my first one EVER. It was amde over a year ago, and I was just glad I made one, it was over night. I guess I've just been a little too pre-ocupied going to shows to finish a video, SORRY FOR HAVING A LIFE.
