Just wanted to take a moment to plug our sister con, Anime Conji. They've got a great AMV event lovingly run by Victoria (Rider4Z), and the deadline for their event is coming up in 3 weeks. She runs a good show, and I hear her comedy category is running a little dry and could use some luv.

Also, I know that the tighter freshness rule imposed for AX this year caught a few people off guard, but some of those vids would still be welcomed at Conji. :)

Drats. I forgot what funny was so hard my comedy videos look like Andy Warhol experimental films. Else I'd ever submit a comedy anywhere.

I've created a spreadsheet that gives up-to-the-minute status on your AMV submission, from the moment you submit it to the moment it's sent to the judges.

(It'll also give you a peek at how many DQs and how many vids for each respective category we have. Yay transparency.)

A question about category type, I know these issues come up and from what I can tell they are handled with grace. I have a video that, despite containing action, I may strongly consider it a drama but judges may feel otherwise. I may also submit an action. If there is a categorization issue, will there be the opportunity to retract an entry if there is such a conflict?
