I'm just kinda ranting/talking about myself for a few seconds..

I think it's crazy how much AMV's and editing have changed my life. Before I began editing, I didn't want to do anything. I wasn't good at anything.. but as I edited, and started making AMV's and stuff.. eventually I decided I wanted to join the film industry. In a few months I head off for college to major in film, and begin my new life. It's been crazy how 5 years of something can change you forever. And I'm amazed by all the wonderful people here who (recently too) raised my confidence to really high levels, and, now I'm more sure than ever, life will be awesome from here on out. I'm very excited. Hahaa

I kinda feel the same, but I decided to pick medicine. Unfortunately the film industry doesnt have a place in this country, where the piracy is the law, and although I'm confortable with it, I can still have my time for doing some edition

Sounds like my life too. I wasn't great at anything until I started doing DBZ websites and amvs.

Doing amvs eventually led me to working in the film industry for a little while and after that I decided to go independent.

Now I got a show on thatguywiththeglasses.com and I work with gaming companies once in while making promos for them all thanks to amvs.

For me, editing AMVs was the first real hobby I had. Everything I did in life (softball, ballet/tap, playing the viola, martial arts) was all forced on me and video editing was the first thing in my life that I chose to do and was really happy doing. AMVs introduced to me to some of the coolest friends I have and now I've been dating another AMV editor for FIVE years!

As for my future, I chose to study finance in school instead of actual editing. But I do want to practice finance in the entertainment industry because I want to stay in the same area where my hobby is!

I started the same, but I was good with many things. As I started editing a lot, I realized how I also like filming so I decided to do film in school and college.
