Name that video!

In 1996-97 I lived in the United States for a year. I saw a show there on MTV called amp (or amped) late at night.

There was an awesome anime music video there. I remember there was a boy riding a motorcycle and I recall there was a little freaky girl with a knife. There was also a character in some wierd virtual reality machine. In the background played a techno song, and the animation was top notch, it had a cyberpunk them to it.

After seeing that video I was immediately hooked on anime. I have no idea what song, anime or video that was. And I have been looking all over for it.

If anybody has any info, please tell me, I would appreciate it a lot

The only video I can think of offhand like that that would have played on MTV is Ken Ishii's "Extra" video. It's been a while since I've seen it.

Heh, I remember that show, and I think I saw that video, did it have some "Jack in the Box" after some little girl or something like that, somewhere?

If anyone wanted their AMVs on MTV all they have to do is MPEG US.

Of course there's catches, but it could work.
