actually for the last comment ... photoshop has served me well all my hs teachers cream when i do small stuff like add custom full page dimmed images\colages(sp) or boarders\additions to my reports or projects ... and it is an especially good skill to have if going into web design or graphic imaging in college. (although all i use it to do is impress my teachers on particularly dull assignments .. take 0 time to write the paper ... but make the page pretty = instant A.

I use jasc's paint shop pro for mostly everything. Reason? I'm just used to it. I can do more in PSP now than I can in PhotoShop because I already know all the features like the back of my hand, and PS isn't better enough to warrant taking the time to get used to. I'm fine with PSP.

I use PaintShop 7 Pro, when I'm not using Paint. It's a ton simpler to use than Photoshop is.
