Reading that rule made me die a little on the inside...coordinators should know better than to recommend such awful formats...thankfully they will accept "MP4s" so we can submit h264, lol...Scintilla wrote:Isn't this rather contradictory on two counts:The Rules wrote:The preferred format for AMV submissions is Xvid, but MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and Divx can also be accepted at your own risk. You may use any codec you wish, however your submission must have a file extension of “.mp4”.
- If MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 are accepted, then why does the file extension have to be .MP4?
- Are we limited to XviD/MPEG-1/MPEG-2/DivX, or may we use any codec we wish?
This rule is pretty f**king stupid too...
I really hate it when conventions pick coordinators that create unnecessary rules which makes it a pain in the ass for us to submit...The Rules wrote:All videos must have a 3 second “slate” that has your full name, your username, your e-mail address, the name of your submission (if it has one) and the category(ies) that you are submitting it to IN WHITE TEXT ON A SOLID BLACK BACKGROUND.
