Technically George W. Bush as he was flying out of SMF but if we're talking about actually meeting and shaking hands with people it would be Adam Baldwin.

I was a few feet away from Stan Lee at San Diego Comic Con once, but he was surrounded by a posse of 50+ people.

I worked for Hillary Clinton, met with John Kerry and Bill Richardson, I met Drew Carrey once in an airport, and because I do interpreting work for anime events, I know lots of people famous to anime fans... I met Koda Kumi in the mid 2000s. I once had lunch in Atlanta with Our Lady Piece at a Waffle House (shit you not, it was a day after a holiday, maybe Christmas? They had had a show, and the only thing open was Waffle House in Midtown)... All sorts of crazy stuff over the years, I guess...

Just remembered that I sat next to Abe Cunningham on a flight from Chicago to Sacramento. Interesting guy.

There are reason why its "most famous person" thread, not "every famous person" :)Kionon wrote:I worked for Hillary Clinton, met with John Kerry and Bill Richardson, I met Drew Carrey once in an airport, and because I do interpreting work for anime events, I know lots of people famous to anime fans... Kionon, better tell us about working with Hillary in details than list every person in general, that would be way more interesting to read.
I love my women like I love my AMV - furious low skilled action without any sync and technique.

Re: What's the most famous person you've seen in real life?
"Most famous" is relative. That's why I mentioned a number of folks.
I met Hillary in 2005 in undergraduate. I interviewed her for the student newspaper. My journalism professor was a friend of former Texas Land Commissioner, Garry Mauro. In addition to running for governor against dubya, he also would later head up Hillary's 2008 campaign in Texas. When Bill and Hill were in Law School, they came down to Texas to campaign for McGovern. Garry offered his couch. Garry would play a pivotal role in my next few years. After meeting Hillary at his house that year, I went on to graduate in 2006 and my very first job was working for a campaign out in Georgia, and later for the Democratic National Committee office in Atlanta, where I worked on some Hillary related campaign stuff with skills I had learned first, here in the AMV community. I didn't actually see Hillary very often, but I would at least have a few words with her when she swung by Atlanta to check up on things. I finished my work in politics in the state party, but I simply could make ends meet. So I packed up and headed for Asia, without regrets.
